Real Life 'Events' of 1971

This blog is called "SOM Replays and Stuff" but the only 'Stuff' I've added so far has been my photos of ballparks I've visited on my quest to go to a new one (for me anyway) every year. So I figured during my 1971 replay account I'd add an occasional post 'on this day in history in 1971....' Of course most of the history will be sports related but I'll also include big national news, pop culture items, and other trivia.

Quite a list, huh? Seems like alot of stuff happened in 1971, most of which bring back lots of memories. The above lists are just what I found in about 5 minutes. So like I said, every once in awhile I'll make a note of a 'Real Life Event' that occurred on the day of a post of my current replay just to get some different 'stuff' in this blog. (hope that last sentence makes sense)
