Alan Foster(1-1) was on top of his game in Kansas City as he tossed a beauty
of a no-hitter against the Kansas City Royals. The Cleveland Indians won by
a score of 3 to 0.

Foster was just too much for Kansas City. He walked 2 Kansas City batters.
What a day for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th
inning on. With every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Cleveland
had 9 hits for the afternoon.

Mike Hedlund(1-1) was given the loss. When asked how his stuff was out there,
Foster looked a bit incredulous (as did this reporter) and replied 'A bit
better than average, I'd have to say'
