Norm Cash smacked 2 homeruns as the Detroit Tigers ballclub embarrassed the
Kansas City Royals by the count of 11 to 1.
Cash was a source of great heartache for the Kansas City faithful all evening.
He just kept pounding out hits! He lofted a three-run bomb in the 1st inning
and launched a Grand Slam homerun (his 22nd of the season) in the 9th inning.
Detroit had a total of 11 hits for the game.
The victory was credited to Mickey Lolich(16-6) who went 7 innings, allowing 1
run. Jim Rooker(2-4) was charged with the loss. He gave up 4 runs in 3
innings of work.
